Pilates

Joseph Hubertus Pilates, born on 9 December 1883, was a renowned German having faith in Greek mythologies and physical instructor. He was the person behind the invention of a new type of exercise identified from his name Pilates. It is renowned all over the world, but it is common to practice it in Australia, Canada, United States, United Kingdom, and many more.

Myths And Misconceptions About Pilates

Pilates has a lot of myths and misinterpretations about Pilates. Some of them include that only women should be performing Pilates. Still, it is a misinterpretation as every people irrespective of gender can perform Pilates. We see pilates, sometimes, as a part of Yoga, which is incorrect as Yoga is a mat-based activity. At the same time, Pilates serves a different taste in this concern as it requires more non-mat based activities. Pilates is an indulgent activity, whereas, in reality, it is not that simple as the exercise involves most core muscles exercises to perform. Even the high-grade trainers require practice and hardcore exercises to complete the session. Only flexible people can perform Pilates as there involves a bit of flexibility and stability to perform it well, but giving it a tile ‘only for flexible people’ is incorrect.

It is no at all mandatory to have pieces of equipment as only higher grade Pilates require equipment and not the primary learners. Pilate is too expensive, which we would rather say cheaper as the Pilates trainers charge a fee of $10 to $20. Pilate is an exercise young and fit people perform. It helps you stay fit and flexible and that is something we cannot deny.
